Students Celebrate A-Level Results.

Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi is proud to congratulate its students on their excellent A-level results. 100% of students achieved the level 3 threshold (at least 2 A Level qualifications at grades A*-E or equivalent), compared to the Welsh average of 97%. 36% of grades were A* or A, compared with the Welsh national average of 23%. 60% of grades were at A*-B, and 80% of grades awarded at A*- C. The Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification proved very successful with 97% of candidates achieving the full Advanced Level Diploma at grades A*-B; and 60% of the Welsh Bac grades were A* or A. Notable successes included Gwyneth Matthews (A*A*A*A and A* in Welsh Bac) who will study Physics and Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London; Ales Belotti (A*A*A*B and A* in Welsh Bac) who will take up a place at Bristol University to study Maths and Physics; Tai Griffiths (A*AA and A in Welsh Bac) who will study Physics at King’s College London; Jenna Hall (A*A B and A* in Welsh Bac) who will study English at Exeter University; Ewan Bodenham (A A A and A in Welsh Bac) who will study Natural Sciences at University College London; Carys Jukes (A A B and A in Welsh Bac) who will study Business Management at Cardiff... read more

Learning is one of the most important and exciting things we do in life and at Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi we aim to provide a lively and friendly atmosphere where learning can flourish.

Our guiding principle is for every student to succeed, and we believe that success is achieved through hard work. We also appreciate that learning is a social activity and that teamwork is fundamental. That is why we foster in pupils respect for themselves and others, encouraging co-operation and collaboration.

Truly successful education is a partnership between school, pupils, parents and our community, and we aim to develop a future generation who have the self confidence to use their talents and skills for their own benefit and that of the community in which they live. We aspire to enable pupils to develop their abilities and personal characteristics such as initiative, enthusiasm, leadership, perseverance, tolerance, commitment and self-discipline.

We share with parents and guardians the same aspirations for our young people – to be happy, safe and successful, and we make every effort to offer our pupils the best academic education, pastoral care and moral direction. A wide range of academic and extra-curricular provision encourages pupil engagement and the development of our pupils’ skills and talents.
