 Welcome to Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi

It is my privilege to welcome you to Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi’s website. I hope you find it a useful guide to our school community.
Learning is one of the most important and exciting things we do in life and at Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi we aim to provide a lively and friendly atmosphere where learning can flourish.

Our guiding principle is for every student to succeed, and we believe that success is achieved through hard work. We also appreciate that learning is a social activity and that teamwork is fundamental. That is why we foster in pupils respect for themselves and others, encouraging co-operation and collaboration.

Truly successful education is a partnership between school, pupils, parents and our community, and we aim to develop a future generation who have the self confidence to use their talents and skills for their own benefit and that of the community in which they live. We aspire to enable pupils to develop their abilities and personal characteristics such as initiative, enthusiasm, leadership, perseverance, tolerance, commitment and self-discipline.

We share with parents and guardians the same aspirations for our young people – to be happy, safe and successful, and we make every effort to offer our pupils the best academic education, pastoral care and moral direction. A wide range of academic and extra-curricular provision encourages pupil engagement and the development of our pupils’ skills and talents.

Should you require further information or if you wish to arrange a visit, please do not hesitate to contact us at the school.
